Race Sign Ups

How to find a race, join TruRace, and complete the official race registration.

  • Register with the official race organizer first when the underlying race requires it.
  • Join the race in TruRace from the race page so TruRace can place you in heats, verify your entry, and calculate leaderboard or prize eligibility.
  • If a race uses reservations or same-day signup, use the event-specific page and watch for confirmation instructions.

Verification

Get Verified Before Race Day

The fastest way to verify your seed time is to sync existing runs from the phone app.

  • Use the TruRace iPhone app to sync runs before race day. This is the easiest way to get your profile seed verified quickly.
  • On iPhone, allow Apple Health access and sync recent running workouts you already have.
  • On Android, use Health Connect when available to import recent runs from supported apps and devices.
  • Do this before race morning so TruRace can update your profile seed, heat placement, and prize eligibility without relying on booth-side help.
  • FIT uploads and official result links are backup options when phone sync is not available.

Sync Codes

Prize Builder Sync Codes

Where to enter daily Prize Builder multiplier codes for synced runs and FIT uploads.

  • On the Prize Builder page, save a daily sync code before syncing from the app; qualifying synced runs on that date can use it automatically.
  • FIT uploads still include an optional sync code field for one uploaded run.
  • Sync codes are date-specific, apply to Prize Builder training credit, and must match an active Prize Builder increase created by TruRace.

Promo Codes

Prize Value Promo Codes

How running club, promotion, or special offer codes add Prize Value.

  • Prize Value promo codes are entered on the member dashboard, not the Prize Builder page or race registration page.
  • Promo codes may have start dates, expiration dates, redemption limits, or per-user limits.
  • Accepted promo codes can add less than the full amount when your stored Prize Value cap is already close.

Leaderboards

How points, seasons, training bonuses, and standings work.

  • Leaderboards use verified TruRace results, with seasons and counting limits depending on the leaderboard type.
  • Training can add a small consistency bonus, but race results remain the main source of standings.
  • Approved off-calendar results can add a fixed 5-point verified-result bonus, which is intentionally capped below a TruRace heat win and does not replace heat-racing requirements.
  • Prize Value cannot be redeemed for leaderboard points.

Training Consistency Bonus

How qualifying Prize Builder runs can add a small automatic leaderboard bonus.

  • The consistency bonus is based on verified qualifying training runs during the active leaderboard period.
  • Bonus points step up at 12, 24, 40, 60, and 80 qualifying runs, awarding 1, 2, 3, 4, or 5 points.
  • The bonus is automatic, capped at 5 points, and cannot satisfy minimum race-completion requirements.
  • Prize Value cannot be spent to buy these points; the bonus only comes from qualifying training activity.

Add a Result

How to submit a completed off-calendar race for TruRace verification.

  • Use Add a Result for races you completed outside the current TruRace race schedule.
  • Submit the race name, date, distance, official results link, and any finish details that help verification.
  • TruRace reviews the submission before it affects leaderboard scoring.
  • Approved off-calendar race results receive a fixed 5-point verified-result bonus. It is a capped secondary path, below a TruRace heat win, so heat racing remains the primary way to climb leaderboards.
  • Add a Result can also flag runner interest in bringing TruRace to that event later.
  • Outside pilot mode, Add a Result is a paid-member feature.

  • TruRace uses seed times, verified results, activity evidence, and race context to form fair heats.
  • Seed times should reflect honest expected performance; intentionally inaccurate seed times can affect eligibility.
  • Some social Equalizer heats use adjusted scoring instead of raw finish time.

Prize Builder and Synced Runs

How qualifying training runs create capped Prize Value.

  • Paid members can earn Prize Value from qualifying runs while paid membership is active.
  • Starter and Pro members can earn from one qualifying run per day; Elite members can earn from up to two.
  • Credits are capped by tier monthly limits and stored Prize Value caps.

How Prize Value, Current Prize activation, and winner payouts fit together.

  • Prize Value is a platform benefit used for eligible Current Prize opportunities; it is not cash, stored value, or a wager.
  • Paid members can use Prize Value for an eligible race once enough available value is present.
  • The standard member-funded Current Prize cap is $250 per eligible race across all paid tiers.
  • Winners may need identity verification and payout onboarding before cash payouts are processed.

$250 Race Cap and Stored Prize Value

Why higher storage limits do not raise the standard per-race Current Prize cap.

  • Stored Prize Value is your available balance for future eligible Current Prize opportunities.
  • For a normal paid-member race, TruRace can use up to $250 of member-funded Prize Value as the Current Prize.
  • Starter, Pro, and Elite all share the same standard $250 member-funded per-race cap.
  • Higher tiers build Prize Value faster and can store more, which helps frequent racers keep using Prize Value across more races.
  • Event Prize Boosts, pilot bonuses, or other posted event-specific boosts can raise the Total Current Prize separately without increasing the member-funded Prize Value used.
  • If you choose a Current Prize entry and do not win, there is no cash payout and the Prize Value used for that race is not returned to your available balance.
